InnoCare Leads Key Smart Healthcare Trends, Pioneering New Developments in the Health Industry

Leveraging AI, Big Data, and 5G IoT to Revolutionize X-Ray and Health Monitoring Integration.

<December 2, 2024, Tainan, Taiwan> As the world faces the dual challenges of aging populations and declining birth rates, the National Development Council estimates that by 2032, over one-quarter of Taiwan’s population will be aged 65 or older. However, healthcare resources remain insufficient, creating significant demand and growth potential for smart healthcare. Moreover, the adoption of emerging technologies and the widespread use of mobile devices are accelerating transformations in the medical technology industry. This year, InnoCare Optoelectronics Corporation will participate in the 2024 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan, held from December 5 to 8, under the theme “Think Convenience Beyond Boundaries.” The company will showcase a comprehensive range of AI-powered technologies that integrate hardware and software, smart mobile healthcare solutions, and industry-leading digital X-ray systems.  These innovations aim to provide precision healthcare services in Taiwan, fostering a robust smart healthcare ecosystem and realizing the vision of future medicine.

Chairman James Yang of InnoCare stated: “InnoCare has over 20 years of expertise in X-ray flat-panel detector manufacturing and has expanded its capabilities into AI image learning and hardware-software integration to drive the expansion of the smart healthcare market. Our management team is committed to innovatively enhancing and integrating various advanced optical detection technologies, diversifying and customizing the applications of detection instruments and equipment to grow our presence in the healthcare, industrial, and security sectors. Additionally, InnoCare will continue to strengthen collaborations with industry, government, academia, and research partners to jointly promote the development of smart and precision healthcare in Taiwan. We are also dedicated to actively advancing international exports and expanding into global markets.”

Extending Integrated Technology to Mobile Medical Response Applications

InnoCare is transforming patient interactions with the healthcare system by advancing integrated solutions in mobile healthcare, driving transformative changes in the medical industry. Key innovations include the Mobile Chest X-Ray Screening and the Hospital at Home – Portable X-Ray Solution. Aligning with the government policies to promote mobile health checkups, InnoCare has partnered with the College of Medicine at National Cheng Kung University and Rotary International District 3470 to launch a lung cancer screening program in rural areas of Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, and Penghu. To date, approximately 18,000 individuals have been screened. The program has also fostered the development of a AI-powered dual-energy chest X-ray imaging model to detect pulmonary lesions. Achieving an average accuracy rate of 93.5%, the model is gradually being applied in medical imaging diagnostics, significantly enhancing efficiency, reducing physicians’ workloads, and minimizing diagnostic errors.

In recent years, the government has actively promoted the Home Emergency Medical Care Program. In response, InnoCare introduced the comprehensive Hospital at Home – Portable X-Ray Solution. InnoCare partnered with Chi Mei Medical Center and Energy Resources International to conduct Taiwan’s first home chest X-ray imaging. This milestone leverages 5G telehealth applications for rapid image transmission and precise diagnostics. Using 5G telehealth applications, high-quality X-ray images are rapidly transmitted to hospitals, assisting physicians in making diagnostic decisions. This enables patients to receive hospital-grade services without leaving their homes, significantly enhancing the efficiency of home healthcare.

Advancing Generation Digital X-Ray Solutions: Multi-Field Smart Applications

InnoCare has built extensive expertise in X-ray detector technologies, offering a comprehensive range of digital X-ray flat-panel detector solutions to the industry. Among these is the newly introduced flexible X-ray sensor with PVSK scintillator, developed in collaboration with the Green Energy & Environment Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute. Compared to conventional cesium iodide X-ray materials, this innovation provides superior X-ray resistance and improved large-area uniformity, while eliminating defects or uneven imaging caused by prolonged detector use. The technology is well-suited for industrial non-destructive testing applications, such as circuit board inspections, addressing diverse testing requirements and unlocking new business opportunities. It also holds promise for future applications in smart healthcare.Furthermore, The low energy consumption and recyclable materials in its manufacturing process demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability, embodying the vision of green technology.

Looking ahead, President Eric Lee of InnoCare stated: “The advancement of smart healthcare is steering us toward a healthier and smarter future. By leveraging superior design, production technologies, one-stop services, and global resource integration, InnoCare is injecting greater intelligence and efficiency into the healthcare system. With the rise of AI, big data, and detection technologies, InnoCare is merging technology and medicine to usher in a new era of medical application technologies. Telehealth now enables patients to access more convenient medical resources, while allowing physicians to conduct timely monitoring and treatment. InnoCare invites you to join us in embracing the next era of smart healthcare, advancing well-being and hope for humanity.”
